To use a SPYRUS WTG on a Mac, you should be running the WTG with a Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 image; Windows 10 is preferred. The main dependency is the Mac model’s ability to support Boot Camp for the Windows OS version. The supported Models are available via the following links: Windows 10, Windows 8.0.
Yes, the Windows To Go, Linux To Go, and Multi-Boot To Go boot drives will all three work with host computers that have USB 2.0 ports. All three To Go devices are natively USB 3.0 and are backward compatible to USB 2.0. However, the To Go drives will perform considerably slower on a USB 2.0 ports due to the slower transfer speeds of USB 2.0 (480Mb/s) compared to USB 3.0 (5Gb/s), which is a little more than 10 times faster.
